Johor Bahru hotels and guesthouses guide

Jalan Meldrum boasts lots of accommodation

Jalan Meldrum boasts lots of accommodation

There are plenty of Johor Bahru accommodation options for those that find themselves suck overnight in town, but most JB hotels cater for the business crowd rather than occasional tourist. Budget choices normally consist of dusty rooms located near transport hubs such as Sentral Station or Larkin Bus Station, as homely backpacker hostels have no real niche within the metropolis.

There are a dozen hotels clustered around Jalan Meldrum which have rooms which cost less than RM100RM per night. However, there are plenty of mid to high-end hotels with conference facilities, sports clubs and swimming pools if you fancy a splurge. And also luxurious resorts a little outside town with attached golf courses if money is no object.
