There is a wide range of hotels on Pulau Tioman catering for all different types of travellers. A large number of high-end resorts have sprung up over recent years but there is still a good selection of budget choices, mainly congregated around the backpacker enclave of Air Batang – commonly referred to as ABC Beach. From here it is easy to walk up to picturesque Monkey Beach and beyond to Salang

Salang, to the northwest of the island, is a lively place to stay and Pulau Tioman accommodation here tends to be of a higher standard. Across on the east side of the island is the small settlement of Juara which has some laid-back guesthouses and resorts, but not much else. Nipah, to the southwest, is only accessible by boat and a taste of true castaway seclusion with only one resort.
